GF Bread = Playdoh

December 31, 2007

Did you ever eat Playdoh as a kid? I know I did… even a bit older as a dare. It tasted like I did again today, I tried the GF bread I bought and boy I didn’t like it one bit! It seriously tasted like playdoh to me, and the texture was awful! Sure, it might be better with peanut butter or something, but the fact that it took me nearly 5 minutes to get 1 bite down was a bit daunting. So for now we’re checking that one onto the “not like list”. I did just get finished eating some Waffles. Granted I didn’t have GF syrup so I had peanut butter and honey on them, but they weren’t half bad! I little dryer than I’d like, but definitely alot better than the bread!

I do have a favorite snack already… it’s actually been a favorite of mine for a while, and I just didn’t realize it was GF. (At least I’m pretty sure it’s GF) Pirates Booty! Yum. Basically Cheesy Rice Puffs. Yay for me!

I went to see my surgeon today regarding my sphinterotomy. He says it looks good, it’ll just take longer to heal since it was done differently due to the abscess. He asked about my stomach and I told him the diagnosis of Celiac Disease and an Ulcer and he nearly shit himself! I told him that he should never try GF Cheerios, he assured me he wouldn’t then I threatened him with a whole bag for New Years. He is such a great doc tho… he puts up with my warped sense of humor and helped me a great deal. My step-ma actually knew him (she’s a radiologist) and got me squeezed in when he was booked. I’m so glad. He did such a great job… even dealt with me crying in his office on numerous occasions. But yeah, I don’t have to see him again unless I have a problem. =) Yay.

But I guess that’s enough rambling for now.
